I just want to post this, because I cannot believe how completely awesome it is.
Not just because I'm a huge geek (I am) and an art nut (which I also am) but because I could so totally see myself doing something like this.

Tell me you don't want one of those in your living room. I do.

I have a gripe! (Shocking, I know).

I have a website. You obviously know this. My website is reasonably well laid out, and by that I mean the section with my art in it, well, has my art in it. It is labeled as such. Same goes for my blog, myspace, radio, etc. I didn't think this was a hard concept, but apparently it's tough.

Case in point, http://www.shinytoyguns.com/. It's a band website (usually the worst offenders). I heard them on a Depeche Mode tribute CD, and I was intrigued enough to want to hear some more. I ran them through google, and hit the shinytoy-slop-pile that was the website. Are you looking at the site right now? Please, go look. Now, tell me where the discography is? No clue huh? Ok, how bout some band Bios? A media section? Wait, your still looking for the discography? Ah shit, I guess they failed at the interweb... even Myspace (and we all know what I think of myspace) has a more understandable layout. Fuck em, I don't even want their CD now.

Nother gripe!
If you drive a car which is designed to do this:

Like, say.... A LandRover....and you chose to drive 2 god damn miles an hour when there is a half inch of snow on the ground while I am trying to get to work, you deserve to be shot. Scratch that. Drug out of your car window, by me, and beaten to death slowly with a tire iron. It's bloody Ohio! We get snow EVERY YEAR! Learn to drive in it or move somewhere else.

At least some people are noticing now...

http://www.verifiedvotingfoundation.org/article.php?id=6369

A national body, no less. Voting advocates, security advocates, And basiclly anyone with half a brain* has only been saying this for 6 years+. I like how Diebold's response to the report is to say nothing, do nothing, which has kind of been their response for everything the last 6 years. It's unfathomable to me, that the only widely deployed piece of equipment Diebold makes that doesn't create it's own verifiable papertrail is the voting machine(s). God forbid an ATM starts handing out $5 bills, now THAT's something important, lets make sure those get verified. I'm not one to put on the tinfoil hat all that often, but the lack of any kind of verification, plus the "no comment" defence makes me wonder who pays them off.

*this automatically excludes most diehard, sucking-off-the-party-line political freak's I've met. Both parties.

Congress actually has to WORK? but go figure, the Republicans are pissed ;)

All I have to say is it's about damn time. Seriously, I can't even begin to describe how pissed off I was when I saw the final roundup of workdays this past year. less than 1/3 of the year they worked. LESS THAN 1/3! and every god damn one of those bastards makes significantly more than I do, with a benefits package that would bankrupt my employer. How the hell is that fair? Even more, some of them are upset about having to work 5 days a week? Jack Kingston can kiss my ass. He is the prime example of what is wrong with American government right now, People who are so completely out of touch with their voter base. Does he think the rest of America gets paid $165,000 dollars a year to work 4 days a week? J.F.C. I'm going to go vomit now.

SigX! The fresh maker.
