My job is going well, I've settled in to the HM way of life just fine. I think that certain devices are breaking themselves just to get away from the nurses on some floors, but that's a while nother story :)

Toby got married! yay Toby. From what I remember the wedding was a blast, but the wedding party (myself included) started drinking at 11AM, and I didn't get home until somewhere around midnight. I think. I look damn sexy in a kilt, thanks.

An urge to look at apartments turned in to me buying a house. No, seriously. I close on the deal this coming Wednesday, so I'll probably be packing up stuff and moving in in another few weeks. Anyone who's ever bought a house knows all the hoops you have to jump through. My stress level has been just spiffy. My current ulcer fuel is the natural gas prices. I'm hoping I get the deal done in time to lock in a not quite absurd rate for the winter. How is it an industry that makes a MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR PROFIT has to claim that they increased prices just to stay afloat. I call bullshit on the oil industry, but nothing will come of it, the Government is in bed with the whole lot of em. Hell, our Secretary of state has a damned oil tanker named after her, where do you think her money comes from?

I got new toys! My old faithful logitech wireless pro combo from like 4 years ago, the one I ganked a replacement mouse for from a throwaway best buy display, finally died. I spend a few weeks tracking down one of the original Microsoft Bluetooth sets to replace it. The one without the dumb side to side scroll wheels and the slick media controls, not the new crap. Work also gave me a RIM Blackberry 7250 to play with this next week while I'm on call. I love this little thing. It interfaces with my work email, calendar, and contact/phone list, has a built in Alltel cellular, web access, etc. I get full signal like everywhere, even in the bowels of the office. If they thing they are getting this back from me then they don't know me to well, do they?

hmm, what else...My cousin Justin sent me a letter the other day, well, not really a letter. more like an invitation. A wedding invitation. WTF? Despite my views on people younger than me getting married (cough*my sister*cough) I suppose I'll be happy for em :) My master plan is to show up to the wedding with at least a bottle of cyser and one of hop destroyer, and get the whole family drunk on homebrew *evil grin*

Music wise, go download the new DJ GT voices of trance sets for September (generationtrance.com). Both the AM and PM mixes are fantastically put together, as always. These guys have really progressed since I started listening to them almost a year ago.
DJ Lithium put out his first set in a long while last month or so. I bought it almost immediately, because as the owner of ever set he's ever put out, I feel I've never wasted a penny on the stuff. The man is a master of the turntable, and a purist of the art. No digital mixing, no CD Tables, no MP3 mixing....just vinyl and technics.
